Section VI: Evaluation of Teaching and Advising

• The candidate and the unit jointly prepare this section. Please note on the instructions from the Office of the Provost which portion is prepared by the candidate and which by the unit.
• Teaching evaluations and student comments should be handled according to SBS and Provost guidelines.
• The Office of Assessment and Enrollment Research prepares for each candidate for promotion, tenure, or continuing status in SBS summary sheets analyzing teaching performance based upon the TCE forms. These are the only TCE forms that we would like included in the dossier. The standard format helps with analysis and comparison across individuals within the college and across the university. Faculty may include typed summaries - no more than 2 pages - of student comments from TCE forms.
• If a candidate has substantial teaching experience at an institution other than the University of Arizona, please contact the Office of the SBS Dean to discuss the construction of this section.
