Recreational International Folkdancing In Tucson

Tucson boasts three international folkdance clubs. All of these clubs offer a variety of dance types with a mixture of teaching and requests. No partner is necessary, please wear comfortable non-street shoes and loose light clothing.

• Lighthouse Folkdance Club. Every Tuesday 7-8:30 (we often go until 9), Aerobics Room, Lighthouse/City YMCA, on the Columbus just south of Fort Lowell. $3.50, free for YMCA members. From beginner to intermediate level. Website
• Tucson Folkdance Club. Every Wednesday 8-10pm, Cecily's Dancetech. 6th Street, east of Tucson Avenue, across the street from the Rincon Market. $5.00. Intermediate to advanced level. Website
• University of Arizona International Dance Club (I-dance). Fridays 5-7, Newman Center Basement, Corner of Cherry and Second. Free. Please contact bvivante AT u DOT arizona DOT edu to confirm that the group is meeting that week. From beginner to intermediate level. Website
